Competition Guidelines and Awards
- All performances will be evaluated by a panel of highly qualified and skilled judges.
- All contestants, teachers, and parents agree that judging is solely at the discretion of the BATTLE OF THE DANCELINES BODL directors, and all decisions by the judges are final.
- Contestants will be evaluated using a point system, providing a more accurate assessment of their performance.
- Participants must have at least two groups competing to qualify for a top score award.
- Multiple First, Second, and Third adjudication awards may be presented within each age division and competition category.
- A Scoring Summary can be collected from the Auditor's table at the end of the competition day.
- Junior BODL: First, Second, and Third place winners will be awarded a trophy to recognize their achievement and placement.
- Senior BODL: Winners in the Good, Excellent, and Superior categories will receive a trophy to signify their level of performance.
- College Alumni: Participants who achieve Good, Excellent, and Superior ratings will be honored with a trophy reflecting their placement.
- Top Score Small Group: The team with the highest score will be honored with a special Platinum Award and a cash prize.
- Top Score Large Group: The team achieving the highest score will receive distinguished Platinum Award recognition along with a cash prize.
- Top Score College Alumni: The highest-scoring team will be awarded a special Platinum Award and a cash prize for their exceptional performance.
